Magical Madrid

This year the magic has arrived in Madrid, thanks to the Magical Festival that is taking place now until the 3rd of July 2011. The Festival Madrid Mágico, (Magical Madrid Festival) is part of this year edition of Veranos de la Villa (Summer in Madrid), a cultural and arts festival run every year in the summer by the Madrid government.

The Círculo de Bellas Artes, the Teatro Bellas Artes and the Teatro Alcázar are the theatres that will host some of the shows. In Teatro Alcazar you will be able to see Sonrisas y Magia, Smiles and Magic, (28-30 June) will be lead by Mag Lari, who mixes comedy and magic in a wonderful evening that will leave everybody flabbergasted. Yunki will in the Alcazar lead us through a wonderful and scary tour in Muerte Enamorada, Death is in Love (1-3 July).

The Matadero de Madrid will host the contest among the greats, the greats of magic that is, between the 28th June – 8th of July. Many big names of Spanish magic will take part in this heavy weight contests of magic and illusions. Every one of the magicians and illusionists taking part in this Gala de Campeones has been the champion in their own specialty and all of them have received many prizes and commendations for their magical abilities. So, this show promises to be one of the best!

One of the main names in this wonderful magical tour in Madrid is Juan Tamariz, nationally known and appreciated for his magical skills, Juan Tamariz is one of the most loved magicians in Spain.
