Some Good Gigs
Fancy some good live music? Here are a few clues so you can enjoy the best rock music in Madrid. We start with a classic Spanish pop-rock act, Revolver, lead by Carlos Goñi, who will perform at La Riviera on March 26th, with tickets costing 25€ each. It is a more discreet option if we compare it to the presence of Robbie Williams, who will be performing a day before at the Palacio de los Deportes, and tickets for the concert range between 52 and 123€.
Pay attention to Vader, who will be performing alongside the band Hate on March 27th at Vistalegre Arena. Death metal sound from Poland coming from a band who have been going for more than 30 years and that have become a reference in the genre. Next to their fellow poles Hate, they offer a show that is not suitable for the faint of heart. Tickets cost between 23 and 28 euros.
We soften up with crowd-pleasing pop by Izal, one of the best bands in the country right now, whose sound reminisces of Vetusta Morla. They will be playing on April 11th at Palacio de los Deportes (Barclaycard Center) and tickets start at 20.70€. More mellow but still so magnetic is Christina Rosenvinge, who we can see on April 30th at Teatro Lara, in a concert that promises to be intimate and with the added plus of having a seat. Tickets start at 13€ and rise up to 20€.
A few last recommendations: Los Enemigos (April 17th – La Riviera), Blind Guardian (April 19th – La Riviera) and El Arrebato (April 20th – Teatro Nuevo Apolo). Buy your tickets on Ticketea or Ticketmaster, where you can also find much more information about other concerts in a city that dances to any rhythm you want it to.
And to go to any of them, what better option than staying at Hotel Ateneo, in the city centre and next to the Puerta del Sol, from where you can easily go to any of these venues by foot or public transport.
